Your role and responsibilities: As an IT Support Specialist at Xanadu, you’ll play a key role in providing high-quality, front-line technical support across the organization. You'll be involved in day-to-day troubleshooting, setting up new equipment, managing user access, and helping ensure smooth IT operations. What You’ll Be Doing Act as a first point of contact for IT support requests. Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues to deliver prompt and effective technical support to employees. Set up and configure servers, laptops, and desktops (Windows, Mac, or Linux). Perform routine tasks such as setting up monitors, keyboards, docking stations, and other peripherals. Assist with user onboarding and offboarding (account creation, hardware setup, etc.). Support audio/visual setups for meetings and presentations. Maintain and update IT documentation for common tasks and procedures. Perform moves, adds and changes of software and hardware for all equipment. Administer and maintain user accounts and permissions. Install and assist with testing of new application releases, enhancement requests, and bug fixes. Help manage hardware inventory and perform routine audits. Monitor and respond to alerts or minor incidents, escalating as needed. Help with occasional weekend work or IT-related activities during off-hours, if required. Basic qualifications and experience: Diploma and/or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience. 1-5 years of experience in a related IT position. Strong experience with Linux, macOS, and Windows. Familiarity with basic networking and cybersecurity concepts and best practices. Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure/high-paced environment. Experience working in an agile delivery environment. Willingness to be part of on-call rotation and weekend IT related activities Preferred qualifications and experience: Some knowledge of Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for automation and troubleshooting. Experience in GitHub and Ansible. Worked in a startup environment and understands the importance of wearing multiple hats Values: Our values are important. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and internal benchmarks. The base salary range is 70,000 - 90,000 CAD. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. You'll be involved in day-to-day troubleshooting, setting up new equipment, managing user access, and helping ensure smooth IT operations.\n What You’ll Be Doing\n Act as a first point of contact for IT support requests.\n Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues to deliver prompt and effective technical support to employees.\n Set up and configure servers, laptops, and desktops (Windows, Mac, or Linux).\n Perform routine tasks such as setting up monitors, keyboards, docking stations, and other peripherals.\n Assist with user onboarding and offboarding (account creation, hardware setup, etc.).\n Support audio/visual setups for meetings and presentations.\n Maintain and update IT documentation for common tasks and procedures.\n Perform moves, adds and changes of software and hardware for all equipment.\n Administer and maintain user accounts and permissions.\n Install and assist with testing of new application releases, enhancement requests, and bug fixes.\n Help manage hardware inventory and perform routine audits.\n Monitor and respond to alerts or minor incidents, escalating as needed.\n Help with occasional weekend work or IT-related activities during off-hours, if required.\n Basic qualifications and experience:\n Diploma and/or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.\n 1-5 years of experience in a related IT position.\n Strong experience with Linux, macOS, and Windows.\n Familiarity with basic networking and cybersecurity concepts and best practices.\n Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure/high-paced environment.\n Experience working in an agile delivery environment.\n Willingness to be part of on-call rotation and weekend IT related activities\n Preferred qualifications and experience:\n Some knowledge of Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for automation and troubleshooting.\n Experience in GitHub and Ansible.\n Worked in a startup environment and understands the importance of wearing multiple hats\n Values:\n Our values are important. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and internal benchmarks. The base salary range is 70,000 - 90,000 CAD.
