    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>LOCATION: Olathe Public Schools Innovation Campus</strong><br><br><strong>STATUS:&nbsp; Certified – Contract (Exempt) 187 days + 10 day extended calendar</strong><br><br><strong>POSITION SUMMARY: &nbsp;</strong>This position is responsible for teaching junior and senior high school students’ skills required in the Health Science and Emergency Medical Services Pathway.<br><br><strong>PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Facilitates learning activities so that students learn the principles, theory, skills, and work ethic necessary to become proficient for entry level positions.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Develop and execute lesson plans that lead toward student mastery of program competencies in the Health Science Pathway.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Develop and update curriculum as needed.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Prepare orders for the purchase of supplies, instruments, equipment and instructional materials necessary to support the learning activities of the program.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Maintain inventory and repair records and ensure the safe and proper operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Manage and maintain student records necessary for working in a healthcare setting.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Create a positive learning environment.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Actively participate in all professional development activities as required by the school district.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Integrate Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) leadership activities into the program.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Use current academic and industry practices in assigned courses of instruction.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Develop and upgrades lesson material, training aids and maintains equipment within assigned course of instruction.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Assist in the recruitment and placement of learners.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Attend technical update classes annually to maintain certifications as needed.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Work with district Career and Technical Education Coordinator to accurately report state and federal reporting requirements.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Other duties as assigned.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">&nbsp;<br><strong>Education and Experience Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">Bachelors degree in Nursing or EMT Licensure and experience.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><br><strong>Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</strong></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:30pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
