Classical Charter Schools of Leland, located in Leland, NC is always seeking outstanding applications for future openings for Interventionists. The position of Interventionist reports to the Headmaster.  This position is a 10-month position that follows the school academic calendar. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">The following mission outlines the expectations of all employees at the school level as well as employees of The Roger Bacon Academy in providing support to the schools:<br>Our understandings of humankind and our universe are expressed and communicated through all of our arts and sciences. Each method of expression – language, painting, music, mathematics, and science – has its rules and techniques for effectively communicating these ideas and understandings.<br>These rules and techniques are the bridges over which ideas must be communicated from one generation to the next.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Interventionist  – Job Responsibilities </span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Purpose:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">The Interventionist provides direct instruction to students identified as eligible for academic services in individual, and/or small group settings.  The position supplements the Content Teacher in successfully preparing students with the knowledge and strategies they will need in order to master the curriculum and achieve a passing score on standardized tests.  To also help students learn skills that will contribute to their social development.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Duties and Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Instructs students in a small group setting using content materials provided by academic coaches.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Uses identified needs to guide the learning process toward student achievement of school standards.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects using formal and informal assessment data obtained from students.  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Follow all rules, policies and procedures of The Roger Bacon Academy, along with state and federal regulations pertaining to school issues.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Provides evidence of preparation and planning upon request of supervisor. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Assess the accomplishments of intervention students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Assist the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct, and for the classroom, develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Counsel with colleagues, students, and/or parents on a regular basis.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Encourage and reward positive behavior.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Attend grade level and staff meetings, serves on staff committees and carries out non-instructional duties as required as assigned.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Produce instructional data reports in accordance with calendar from Lead Teacher and Coaches.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Remain flexible and positive for any given assignment.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">The Interventionist will have the following experience and attributes:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">An Associate’s degree or proof of completion of at least two years of college credits in any field is required; focus in education and early childhood development desired.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Ability to maintain a clean and orderly environment.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Ability to perform clerical duties.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Ability to operate common office machines.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px\">Ability to maintain basic files and records.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;
