Work with your team to implement the right processes and practices across our organization to help ensure flight and product efficiency.</span></p><p><span>Standard Aero, a leading aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility, is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented <strong>Thermal Spray Technician</strong> to join our dynamic team in Winnipeg. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals <strong>with or without </strong>thermal spray experience, &nbsp;focusing on the highest standards of quality and precision.</span></p><p><strong>Shift Requirement:</strong></p><p><strong>Training: Must be flexible with training times</strong></p><p><strong>Regular Shift: Afternoons 4x10 - M-Th</strong></p><p><strong>What you'll do</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Selects, prepares and mixes solutions or coatings according to formulas and specifications and creates spray recipes and sequences for spraying.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Plans, develops, writes, revises, documents, tests, implements and controls programs for robots as applicable.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Operates blasting equipment to clean and prepare the surface of materials and components.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Prepares and masks parts with fixtures, rubber, tape, tafa, antibond or metal masks prior to coating.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Sets up and operates various types of manual, semi-automatic and/or robotic spray systems to apply substances to parts.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Sets bake/cure oven controls for correct temperature and records time on process charts.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Removes masking, cleans overspray and washes parts.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Inspects surfaces visually for defects and compliance with specifications using micrometers, calipers, elcometers, profilometers, or related devices prior to and after applying coating.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Cleans and maintains spray/coating equipment, fixtures and blast cabinets.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Participates in continuous improvement of cell processes.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Cross trains in other complementary skills and seeks endorsements for those skills as needed to support production requirements.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Moves between production assignments that utilize multiple skills endorsements as needed to support production requirements.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Participates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.</span></li><li><p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Carries out other duties as assigned.</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong>What Skills You’ll need</strong></span></p><p><span><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Must be willing to use personal protective equipment including masks, gloves, respirator, etc.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>At least 1 year of experience using precision measuring instruments.</span></li><li><span>Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints.</span></li><li><span>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day.</span></li><li><p><span>Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong>Preferred Requirements</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Working knowledge of production management computer system and other related internal control systems.</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p></li><li><span>Hands-on, mechanically inclined, with a strong willingness to learn</span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong>Benefits that make life better:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Comprehensive Healthcare</span></li><li><span>Company Pension with 100% company match; up to 5% vested</span></li><li><span>Paid vacation starting on day one</span></li><li><span>Bonus opportunities</span></li><li><span>Health- &amp; Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts</span></li><li><span>Short- &amp; Long-Term Disability</span></li><li><span>Life &amp; AD&amp;D Insurance</span></li><li><span>Learning &amp; Training opportunities</span></li></ul>",
