    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>Responsible for implementing corporate, field, and office ESH policies and procedures across assigned business units and/or project sites.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Champion “The Layton Way” by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external partners, and customers.</p><p>Ensure “Constructing with Integrity” by upholding honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work.</p><p>Establish and reinforce safety culture with Layton and subcontractor employees across <strong>multiple U.S. project sites</strong>.</p><p>Manage safety programs on all assigned projects, including <strong>CCIP</strong> and other complex risk management initiatives.</p><p>Provide regulatory and policy review, interpretation, and technical guidance.</p><p>Recommend improvements and conduct technical reviews of ESH tools, processes, policies, and training.</p><p>Review audit summaries, daily observations, and injury statistics to identify risks and propose structured safety programs.</p><p>Share data with VP of Safety and Regional Safety Managers to develop corporate safety trends.</p><p>Assist leadership in monitoring new legislation affecting safety policies and propose updates.</p><p>Monitor workers’ compensation issues on assigned projects.</p><p>Conduct incident review meetings with project teams and subcontractors to reinforce accident prevention.</p><p>Oversee monthly audit program to ensure compliance and program effectiveness.</p><p>Implement training to support <strong>Safety 360</strong> and ensure subcontractor OSHA/MSHA compliance.</p><p>Participate in pre-construction meetings to address project-specific safety needs.</p><p>Ensure accurate, prompt accident reporting and preventive measures.</p><p>Support injury management, focusing on proper medical care and cost control.</p><p>Develop, implement, and oversee project-specific safety programs.</p><p>Supervise safe behavior of all craft workers and employees on assigned projects.</p><p>Interface with SBU leaders, site supervision, subcontractor management, and government agencies (OSHA, EPA, MSHA).</p><p>Perform additional duties as assigned.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Travel regularly across the U.S. to assigned projects, supporting both short-term and long-term deployments.</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety &amp; Health or related field (or equivalent experience).</p><p><strong>5+ years</strong> of ESH experience required.</p><p>Strong knowledge of <strong>OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA</strong> regulations.</p><p>Accreditations preferred: <strong>CHST, ASP, CSP, ICRA</strong>.</p><p>Previous <strong>CCIP experience</strong> preferred.</p><p><strong>Ability to travel extensively across the U.S. as project needs dictate.</strong></p><p>Basic Spanish language communication preferred.</p><p>Industrial hygiene knowledge and best practices.</p><p>Skilled communicator—verbal and written presentations.</p><p>Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams).</p><p>Strong in problem-solving, organization, attention to detail, and process improvement.</p><p>Strong interpersonal skills; proven ability to work with diverse teams and develop team members through coaching and delegation.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Benefits</strong>: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, Life &amp; AD&amp;D Insurance, Long-term Disability Insurance, Short-term Disability Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Accident Insurance, Hospital Indemnity Insurance, Home &amp; Auto Insurance, Family Support, Pre-tax Paid Parking/Public Transportation, Paid time off: 2 Weeks for Non-Exempt and Three Weeks for Exempt, Time Away Benefits, 8 Paid Holidays, Group Legal, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Identity Theft Protection, Group Legal, Pet Insurance, Employee Assistance Program.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>EEO Statement</strong>: Layton Construction is an equal opportunity employer.  We evaluate qualified employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, and other legally protected characteristics.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>",
