We represent over 50,000 public service workers in cities, counties, courts, schools, private non-profits, special districts, and public health care.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">AT SEIU LOCAL 521: </span>Our mission is to provide our members with a voice in the workplace, in their union and in the larger community. We believe that by working together as a united front, we can win better contracts and build industry power in our region.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SYSTEMS ANALYST: </span><span>under minimal supervision, will play a pivotal role in ensuring the systemic functioning of database and related applications, including but not limited to technology, processes and training. Coordinates work and workflow and may oversee temporary staff or volunteers as needed.</span><span> </span><span>This position is non-supervisory and reports to the Finance Director. </span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">System Administration: </span></span><span>Configure and maintain various fields and reports using the systems’ user interfaces.</span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Systems and Vendor Coordination: </span></span><span>Work with application vendors and internal departments to support system changes, integrations and enhancements. Coordinate implementation plans, timelines, follow-up and issue resolutions across stakeholders.</span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Process Analysis: </span></span><span>Gather, document and clarify requirements from departments and teams. Map workflows and identify gaps or inefficiencies in current processes. Translate operational needs into clear functional requirements.</span><br></li>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">User Support and Training: </span></span><span>Support adoption of systems through creating documentation and conducting training. Troubleshoot user issues with an understanding of workflows and system behavior.</span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Database Support: </span></span><span>Support the compilation, processing, maintenance, and updating of membership records related to the membership database.  </span><br></li>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Performs related work as required: </span></span><span>Support additional operational needs as required by the Finance Director or their designee, including special projects and other duties as necessary to ensure efficiency of the Local.</span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Perform effectively under pressure and with interruptions. Must be detail oriented and accurate.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Strong technical and data literacy with an understanding of how applications integrate and exchange data. Recognizing when issues are process vs system related.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Ability to define and deploy API strategies and translate requirements into technical API specification.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Ability to build strong cross-departmental relationships and facilitate collaborations across teams.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Work effectively under pressure of deadlines.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Meet and deal tactfully and courteously with members, vendors or other to receive and impart information.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to implement process improvements as needed.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Understanding of union operations and policies, or a willingness to learn and apply them effectively.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Preferred: Basic knowledge of Python scripting for task automation and enhancing workflow efficiency.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Experience in a business analyst, systems analyst, operations analyst, or similar role.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Experience working with business applications (e.g., CRM, membership, or financial systems).</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment in decision-making.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Willingness to work occasional long hours to meet deadlines and organizational needs. </span><br></li>\n<li><span>Overtime will occasionally be required</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS</span>: </p>\n<p>Must possess a valid California driver’s license; must pass a DMV check and have a good driving record; must have auto insurance that covers business driving (minimum of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per incident bodily injury liability/$100,000 property coverage); and must possess an automobile for business use.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:</span> <br></p>\n<p>Pay to commensurate with experience ($41.6585-$53.1829).
