Basic Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: : Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Candidate must be able to work onsite. Responsibilities for this Position Make the world’s most advanced Strategic Fire Control System even smarter! As a Senior Systems Engineer for Strategic Weapon Control, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for coordinating development of a subsystem upgrade to a submarine Fire Control System. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Fire Control Systems (FCS) experience System requirements; documentation management, testing, verification, and validation Systems Design and Development including Hardware and software integration; planning, testing, troubleshooting, and report generation Engineering leadership; excellent communication and presentation skills, cross-discipline engineering knowledge, design review package generation, and developing customer intimacy Introducing and managing modernization technical initiatives by integrating complex technical scope across a team with varying technical goals Generating white papers for informing the strategic community about the introduction of new technologies Mentoring engineering leaders across technical and project management topics What sets you apart: Success leading the systems development life cycle and a strong proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools Creative thinker motivated to apply technical standards and methodologies and apply new information quickly while handling increasing responsibilities with growing complexity Collaborative team player with the ability to provide technical leadership and position others for success Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation Our Commitment to You: An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development.
