PT Licensed Social Worker or Psych RN – 8hr Shift
Location: Montgomery County Jail
Schedule: EVO Weekend| 8hr Shift

At Southern Health Partners (SHP), we believe mental health care is essential care. As a Licensed Social Worker in a correctional setting, you’ll provide meaningful support, guidance, and advocacy to an underserved population—all within a structured, safe, and team-driven environment.

Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of inmates' mental health needs, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on stabilization, skill-building, and preparation for re-entry into the community.
Provide individual and group counseling services, addressing a range of issues such as substance abuse, trauma, anger management, and coping skills.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including corrections staff, medical professionals, and probation officers to ensure comprehensive care.
Facilitate referrals to internal programs and external community resources for ongoing support upon release.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, sessions, and other relevant information.
Stay current with best practices in correctional mental health and seek out opportunities for professional growth.
Qualifications:
Master's Level: Master’s degree in counseling or social work. Current licensure (LPC, MSW, etc.) and eligibility for certification in correctional mental health (preferred).
Knowledge of evidence-based practices for working with justice-involved populations.
Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Registered Nurse: Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, potentially challenging environment.
Commitment to cultural competence and working with diverse populations.
Experience working with diverse patient populations and diagnoses (e.g., substance abuse, personality disorders, psychosis)
Correctional health experience preferred, but not required
Working Conditions:
This position is within a county jail setting.
Must be able to pass a background check and adhere to all security protocols.
