This is not a “read-the-news” position—this is a leadership role inside a forward-thinking newsroom where anchors are central to editorial decision-making, storytelling innovation, and audience connection.</p>\n<p>At WKEF, our anchors don’t just present the news—they <b>lead coverage</b>, <b>mentor teams</b>, and <b>drive content across platforms</b>.</p>\n<p><b><u>What You’ll Do</u></b></p>\n<p>As an Anchor, you will be a central leader in our newsroom and a key driver of daily content. You will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Anchor newscasts with confidence, clarity, and credibility</li>\n <li>Actively participate in <b>daily editorial meetings</b>, helping shape rundowns and coverage strategy</li>\n <li>Produce and contribute <b>original content across broadcast, digital, and social platforms</b></li>\n <li>Write in a clear, conversational, audience-focused style</li>\n <li>Deliver compelling live coverage in breaking news and major event situations</li>\n <li>Build strong connections with viewers through <b>consistent social media engagement</b></li>\n <li>Collaborate closely with producers, reporters, and digital teams to elevate storytelling</li>\n <li>Mentor and support MMJs and producers as part of a team-first newsroom culture</li>\n <li>Represent the station in the community through events, initiatives, and public engagement<br>\n   &nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<div>\n Sinclair is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.
