Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a leading mining or industrial water practitioner to join and build our business in Calgary, Alberta . Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Business development, including securing new clients, fostering long-term client relationships, leading proposal preparation, and developing and executing a strategic business development plan.
Leading meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other stakeholders to drive project success.
Establishing, supporting and developing a new office in the Calgary area.
Project management, including planning and executing projects, managing budgets and schedules, ensuring quality and client satisfaction, and driving profitability.
Mentoring and leadership of senior, mid-career, and junior staff, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Managing work to meet contract schedules, regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and high standards of care.
Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals that reflect innovation and technical excellence.
Occasional fieldwork as required by the Company.
Education and Licensure
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or environmental engineering, or a related field of study (required)
Advanced degree in a related field of study (desirable but not essential)
Professional registration e.g. P.Eng (required)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
At least 10 years (15+ preferred) of relevant consulting or client-side experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
Strong expertise in water process engineering for the industrial sector (required)
Experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
Demonstrated success in client development and management. (required)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment, managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and traveling to client sites as needed. (required)
Valid Canadian driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
