    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The <strong>Licensed Clinical Social Worker</strong> in the <strong>Psycho-Oncology Program </strong>at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive assessments, care, and support to patients with cancer and their care partners. This position involves the opportunity for a unique blend of medical social work and psychotherapy, focusing on the complex needs of patients with cancer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical social work and a deep commitment to enhancing the quality of life and care for people living with cancer and their families.</p>\n<p>We are seeking candidates who can bring the following to this important role:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience providing psychotherapy and counseling to individuals and groups, focusing on evidence-based practices and culturally competent care.</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and engage patients from diverse backgrounds.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain professional boundaries in challenging clinical situations.</li>\n <li>Minimum of two years of experience as a clinical social worker</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This full-time, 40-hour/week day-shift position is located on-site at our Lebanon, NH or Manchester, NH campus with an opportunity for hybrid work as well.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2> \n<li> Provides complete psychosocial assessments of patients and families including but not limited to: abilities, aptitudes, interests and motivation, psychological aspects of physical illnesses, accidents, injuries or disabilities and substance abuse/dependencies. </li> \n<li> Evaluates, diagnoses and provides treatment for patients within areas such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, substance use disorders, aggressive behavior, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, ADHD, eating disorders, and developmental disorders.</li> \n<li> Establishes achievable treatment goals with clients utilizing the most appropriate types of psychotherapy (i.e., behavior therapy, cognitive therapy, crisis intervention, family/couples, group, counseling and/or supportive cognitive therapy).</li> \n<li> Observe, describe, diagnose, evaluate, treat, consult, interpret and modify human behavior by applying psychological principles, methods, or procedures to patients who suffer from mental, behavioral, or emotional disorders or disabilities.</li> \n<li> Collaborates effectively with team members when appropriate.</li> \n<li> Documents appropriate objective, concise and pertinent clinical data in the medical record.</li> \n<li> Performs other duties as required or assigned.</li> \n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul> \n <li> Master’s degree in social work from an accredited institution of higher education, including an internship meeting professional standards.</li> \n <li> Must be able to demonstrate that he or she has provided psychological services, on an inpatient, outpatient or consultative basis in the past 12 months.</li> \n</ul>\n<h2>Required Licensure/Certifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in New Hampshire and VT</li>\n</ul>",
