We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and strongly encourage you to apply.</p>\n<h2>A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING . . .</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages all operations in the Produce and Floral Departments, which includes Organic, Conventional, Fresh Prep and indoor & outdoor floral.</li>\n <li>Ensures adherence to all food safety/HACCP/Sanitation requirements</li>\n <li>Ensures all product quality, trimming, cutting and packaging specs are consistent, reliable and to company standards</li>\n <li>Provides and demonstrates excellent hospitality and attitude of service to staff and guests</li>\n <li>Maintains retail price integrity & accuracy and monitors all aspects of accurate receiving, billing, quantity, quality, grade, food safety, returns & credits</li>\n <li>Develops and communicates creative & aggressive merchandising plans on a weekly and seasonal basis </li>\n <li>Hires and trains department employees & writes and oversees department schedules</li>\n <li>Leads by example </li>\n <li>Responsible for department sales & labor budget, grosses, and reports</li>\n <li>Ensures the dissemination of and adherence to all company and department policies</li>\n <li>Supports and follows all security and safety policies</li>\n <li>Performs semi-annual employee performance evaluations</li>\n <li>Supports and follows sustainability programs</li>\n <li>Writes, sends & works orders; plans promotions; and ensures proper signage on all products</li>\n <li>Implements and maintains effective inventory management procedures</li>\n <li>Updates the POS department on price changes</li>\n <li>Stays current on industry trends, standards and changes</li>\n <li>Stays current with all training including online training and professional development opportunities</li>\n <li>Operates within the Company’s Core Values, Company Brand, and Business Principles</li>\n <li>Maintains department cleanliness, product freshness, & variety</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF . . .</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 5 years’ produce/food service and management experience</li>\n <li>Interest and enthusiasm for cooking/nutrition, floral design and plants/flowers</li>\n <li>Flexibility to work mornings/afternoons/evenings/weekends/holidays</li>\n <li>Emphasis on selling and merchandising/creativity</li>\n <li>Must work towards maximizing total overall market sales</li>\n <li>Must be able to work with fresh flowers, plants, dried flowers, decorative plants, glue and other floral design products without negative allergic consequences that affect performance</li>\n <li>Must understand process controls, product flow and quality assurance standards</li>\n <li>Demonstrates self-discipline and accountability</li>\n <li>Ability to build and maintain effective relationships and trust with a diverse group of staff, guests, and vendors</li>\n <li>Possesses full body mobility (bending, stooping, twisting, & reaching) with excellent manual dexterity</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift 50 lbs.</li>\n <li>Exemplifies health department standards</li>\n <li>Good communication skills/excellent record keeping skills</li>\n <li>Must possess a strong desire to work hard, be enthusiastic, participate in achieving management goals, and lead by example</li>\n <li>Willingness to take calculated risks to maximize sales</li>\n <li>Visionary, leader, team player with good follow-through & people skills</li>\n <li>Must possess intermediate computer skills including MS Office</li>\n <li>Commitment to personal and professional development</li>\n <li>Team Player with positive, proactive attitude and a desire to be of service</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently, as well as with a diverse group of coworkers, guests and vendors</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and maintain safe work practices</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Entry Level Compensation</h2>USD $31.30/Hr.\n<h2>Maximum Compensation</h2>USD $33.20/Hr.",
