The Health and Safety Professional is expected to be present at the site every workday. That daily presence is important because the job is about working with people, seeing the work as it is happening, and supporting the teams in real time.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>We are looking for a Health &amp; Safety Professional who will bring experience, practical judgment, and genuine care for people. &nbsp;Job pay / title flexible to meet candidate’s qualifications and experience. This is a hands-on role that guides our safety culture across the site, ensures compliance with MSHA and OSHA, and maintains consistency.</p><p>You will work closely with the plant manager, frontline employees, and the site leadership to strengthen systems, reduce risk, and support a strong, sustainable safety culture.</p><p>This is an important role that directly supports the well-being of our people. It helps ensure every employee goes home safe every day and plays a meaningful part in strengthening trust and morale at the site.</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></u></p><p><strong>1. Build and Strengthen Our Safety Culture</strong></p><p>• Lead the continued development of a strong, consistent safety culture at the site</p><p>• Build trust through steady, honest communication with operators, supervisors, and salaried staff</p><p>• Partner with the plant manager through regular safety walks, observations, and coaching</p><p>• Encourage practical, common-sense safety improvements that fit our work and our people</p><p><br></p><p><strong>2. Compliance and Risk Management</strong></p><p>• Ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and feed/food safety regulations</p><p>• Maintain accurate reporting, documentation, and recordkeeping</p><p>• Oversee dust testing, noise surveys, and other regulatory testing as needed</p><p>• Support environmental contractors and consultants at each site</p><p>• Prepare for audits, inspections, and follow-up actions</p><p><br></p><p><strong>3. Improve Safety Systems and Processes</strong></p><p>• Participate in the development, communication, and auditing of Standard Work and Procedures to ensure work is performed safely and consistently</p><p>• Identify risks through trend analysis, incident reviews, and near-miss reporting</p><p>• Support equipment guarding, lockout/tagout improvements, and safe operating practices</p><p>• Ensure building our safety systems and expectations as the new facility comes online</p><p><br></p><p><strong>4.
