For additional information on SMS, visit www.sms.com.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Submit your resume today!</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage local and remote web servers; coordinate the mirroring of remote webs with a central mirrored site.</li>\n <li>Develop web pages and middleware applications using all versions of Hypertext Markup Language, and other server and client-side languages.</li>\n <li>Optimize new and existing code for WAN performance.</li>\n <li>Integrate graphics, charts, and custom art into web sites to provide maximum impact of content delivery.</li>\n <li>Apply AFI and DOD guidance on web development and ensure compliance.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain concept of operations for web policy and implementation.</li>\n <li>Develop and manage training on materials, web pages, programming languages and third-party web applications used to support local and deployed internet and intranet web pages, including classroom, and seminar training.</li>\n <li>Manage work and project tasks of other web development contractors.</li>\n <li>Review technical project documentation for final draft coordination and subsequent release.</li>\n <li>Assist personnel with project documentation and web site development as needed.</li>\n <li>Coordinate technical visits.</li>\n <li>Develop content to ensure web access is optimal for use on wide area network with low bandwidth and high latency.</li>\n <li>Provide web site utilization reports.</li>\n <li>Provide training support on web page development, content development, and maintenance.</li>\n <li>Develop procedures and best practice documents to be used by other web developers.</li>\n <li>Brief local and deployed web developers on standard practices.</li>\n <li>Maintain web servers to include backups, disaster recovery, installation, troubleshooting, and data transfer. Perform daily web server log review and comply with all security alerts.</li>\n <li>Use security toolset to determine web server security weaknesses and shortfalls. Apply security patches and validate compliance with security guidance.</li>\n <li>Provide General IT Management support.</li>\n <li>Provide technical and general O&M support as required.</li>\n <li>Provide documentation/reports support as required.</li>\n <li>Provide meetings/briefings support as required.</li>\n <li>Provide functional training support as required.</li>\n <li>Provide CONUS TDY support as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates in related field and 3 or more years’ relevant IT experience OR 5 or more years’ relevant IT experience.</li>\n <li>Ability to identify and prioritize essential system functions or sub-systems required to support essential capabilities or business functions for restoration or recovery after a system failure or during a system recovery event based on overall system requirements for continuity and availability.</li>\n <li>Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft server installation, roles, active directory, storage, performance management, and maintenance.</li>\n <li>Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding with C# and XAML, visual studio, arrays and collections, working with variables, managing program flow, asynchronous programming, decision an iteration statements, experience with the full life cycle of web applications, designing asynchronous solutions, working with classes, methods, and data validation.</li>\n <li>Must hold an active DoD Secret level clearance.</li>\n <li>TIL Foundation (candidate has up to 60 days to acquire ITIL Foundation certification)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>SMS is a dynamic systems integrator established in 1976, delivering talented teams and innovative, cost-effective solutions and services to support our customers’ missions for more than 47 years.
