    "description": "<p><span>The Essex Police Department is accepting applications/resumes for a full-time public safety dispatcher position. We currently serve three communities that, when combined, have over 20,000 residents and dispatch for two police departments, three fire departments and one ambulance service.  The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, the Internet and emergency operations systems.  The selected candidate will have passed a background investigation. Shift assignments are based on seniority.
