    "description": "<h2>Role Summary</h2>\n<p>FP Movement is seeking a Designer for our To/From Category.  The Designer - To/From works closely with the Senior Designer and Design leadership, ideating and supporting the design and development of private label apparel within our To/From category. This role is integral to bringing product from concept through execution, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver thoughtful, fashion-forward designs.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>FP Movement's To/From category takes our customer from the studio to the street, encompassing elevated and fashion forward heavy weight knits, fleeces, and statement third pieces. We’re looking for a designer with a strong fashion point of view who understands how to balance performance, comfort, and style while translating trends into new and compelling product.  This role is based at our World Headquarters in Philadelphia, PA.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Role Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Collaborate in the design, development, and execution of own-brand product for the Free People Movement To/From category, ensuring designs align with the brand’s elevated, fashion-forward and unique point of view.</p></li>\n <li><p>Partner cross-functionally with Design, Buying, Technical Design, and Production to support the seasonal development calendar and deliver product on time and to aesthetic intent.</p></li>\n <li><p>Execute assigned design development projects, contributing to silhouette development, fabrication, trim, and artwork with attention to detail and quality.</p></li>\n <li><p>Prepare and manage development packages in partnership with the Design Coordinator, maintaining clear communication and follow-up throughout the process; update and maintain category styles in web PDM.</p></li>\n <li><p>Oversee the development and execution of trim and artwork packages, ensuring consistency with design direction and brand standards.</p></li>\n <li><p>Create and maintain spec sheets for all styles; communicate fit, construction, and design intent to the Technical Design team; complete all technical sketches for both domestic and overseas programs.</p></li>\n <li><p>Actively participate in weekly Design Flow Meetings, documenting decisions, tracking action items, and following up on outstanding issues.</p></li>\n <li><p>Communicate clearly and consistently with internal partners and external vendors, including overseas factories, to support smooth development and execution.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Role Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Design & Trend</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Degree in Fashion Design or related field and 5+ Years Design Experience Preferred</li>\n <li><p>Ability to identify emerging trends and translate aspirational ideas into commercially relevant product.</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience researching color, print, and fabric direction 9–12 months ahead of season.</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong hand sketching and CAD skills; proficiency in Procreate, Photoshop, and Illustrator.</p></li>\n <li><p>Familiarity with AI tools is a plus.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Fabric & Construction</p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Solid understanding of Cut & Sew knits (jersey) and woven fabrications, applied to fit and design.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to drape, mock, and sew.</p></li>\n <li><p>Knitwear or sweater experience is a plus.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Collaboration & Execution</p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Highly organized and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.</p></li>\n <li><p>Clear communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Buying, and partners.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to manage multiple styles across various stages of development.</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong balance of creative vision and business needs, delivering cost-effective design solutions.</p></li>\n <li><p>Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.</p></li>\n <li>Ability to work on-site at our World Headquarters in Philadelphia, PA 4-5 days per week.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#LI-JA1 #FreePeople</p>\n<h2>The Perks</h2>\n<p>URBN offers comprehensive Perks & Benefits to employees.
