    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Kimley-Horn is looking for an experienced Design Technician to join our Roadway team in Columbus, Ohio (OH)!</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The candidate will develop concepts as well as work on preliminary engineering and final design for projects\n  <ul>\n   <li>This would include developing geometric alignments, profiles, surface modeling, cross sections, grading design, drainage, superelevation, construction details, work zone traffic control, erosion control, and signing and striping plans</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>This person will develop technical drawings and plans using CAD software </li>\n <li>The person in this position will make and quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity and may perform some multifaceted calculations</li>\n <li>Requires minimal supervision to perform day to day tasks</li>\n <li>Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes</li>\n <li>Maintains drawing database</li>\n <li>May supervise and train CAD staff</li>\n <li>Coordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control</li>\n <li>Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#LI-RM2</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)</li>\n <li>3+ years of relevant experience</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products</li>\n <li>Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter</li>\n <li>Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and with a team</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why Kimley-Horn?</h2>\n<p>At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
