Bring your passion for helping seniors to The Marquardt, an Illuminus Community! Every day, Medication Administration Aides (MAAs) have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents, fostering genuine connections and creating vibrant communities where seniors can thrive. Candidates must already have (or be enrolled) in the additional Medication Administration Aide training required for working in a nursing home. CBRF/AL medication training does not qualify. $20.00-$23.00 per hour Hiring bonus available. Shift differential for PM and NOC shifts Current openings : Full Time AM ( 6:00 AM- 2:00 PM) and Full Time PM (2:00 PM-10:00 PM) JOB SUMMARY: The Medication Administration Assistant, under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, prepares, administers and records medications as directed and per policy. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with all individuals. Maintains a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values. Responsible for on-call services, as assigned. Administers medications as prescribed and per healthcare policy. Performs all necessary related functions, such as blood pressure checks and pulses in conjunction with the medication pass as needed. Communicates changes in a resident’s condition to the nurse immediately and accurately. Successfully completes required educational units annually. Attends training sessions, staff meeting and in-services to stay current with information regarding drug therapies and healthcare processes. Performs other duties, as assigned.
