To learn more about our work, please visit our website at <a href=\"http://www.refugees.org/\" target=\"_blank\">www.refugees.org</a></p><p><strong>OVERVIEW</strong></p><p>The <strong>Social Worker</strong> will be supporting the Home Study (HS) and Post Release Services (PRS) department. This position is remote, located in Baltimore/ Washington, DC metro areas and requires up to 50% travel.</p><p>&nbsp;Starting pay is <strong><u>$77,657.08</u></strong> and may be subject to change on experience, education, and cost of living.</p><p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate clinical case management services to UC with significant needs.</li><li>Carry a caseload of 5 to 10 Enhanced Post Release Services (Level 3) cases.</li><li>Conduct brief clinical interventions to help families address crises and manage conflict, as needed.</li><li>Complete individualized needs assessments with unaccompanied children (UC) and sponsors, and develop case plans with particular attention to culture, language, and special circumstances.</li><li>Maintain a high standard of record-keeping according to USCRI and ORR policies and procedures.</li><li>Provide information, education, referrals, outreach, advocacy, and support to ensure that each child receives the services they require.</li><li>Assess the safety and appropriateness of the placement on an ongoing basis using child welfare principles and social work best practices through phone/video calls, interviews, and home visits.</li><li>Build a network of local pro bono legal resources and service providers to facilitate access for unaccompanied children (UC) and sponsors, and track individual progress.</li><li>Coordinate and maintain communication with key stakeholders.</li><li>Participate in regular training and communication sessions with supervisor and headquarters staff.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by supervisor.</li></ul><p>All of the above duties and responsibilities are essential job functions subject to reasonable accommodation. All job duties indicated are not to be an exhaustive statement and other job-related duties may be assigned as required by the supervisor(s). &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Master&#39;s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science; with at least three years&rsquo; progressive experience, graduate level licensure (LMSW/LGSW) is preferred; or a Bachelor&#39;s degree with at least five years of clinical experience.</li><li>Candidate must have at least 1 year of direct clinical experience.</li><li>Experience in child welfare, child placements, family preservation, behavioral health counseling, and social service provision is preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of trauma-responsive service provision and crisis intervention skills.</li><li>Must be skilled at writing professional, thorough assessment reports.</li><li>Must possess an extensive knowledge of immigrant community local resources.</li><li>Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and ability to prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Must have a valid driver&#39;s license, insurance, a clean driving record, and personal transportation.</li><li>Position requires up to 50 percent long distance travel with limited notice.</li><li>Position is remote and the candidate must have an appropriate workspace to complete documentation, client phone calls, and video conferencing.</li><li>Fluency in Spanish is required; proficiency in additional languages a plus.</li><li>Candidate must demonstrate a commitment to comply with mandatory state reporting requirements for child abuse and neglect.</li><li>Candidate must have dedication to the human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers and displaced people.</li><li>Candidate must pass a criminal background check that includes past history of conviction of child and sexual abuse.</li><li>Possess or be able to obtain CPR and basic first aid certification.</li><li>Demonstrated support of USCRI&rsquo;s values by exhibiting respect for others, maintenance of confidential information and an appreciation of a multicultural workplace.</li></ul><p><strong>TRAINING REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Satisfactory completion of USCRI&rsquo;s Orientation and Training.</li><li>Satisfactory completion of ORR required trainings prior to serving clients and on an annual basis.</li><li>Complete additional training as identified by supervisor or Human Resources.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.</li><li>Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.</li><li>Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.</li><li>Quantitative/mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, standard measurements).</li></ul><p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.<em>&nbsp;</em></p><p><strong>ADDITIONAL NOTES</strong></p><p>Please submit a resume with cover letter describing your interest and qualifications with your online application.</p><p>References will be required at time of the final interview.</p><p>No telephone calls please.
