Responsible for maintaining production flow and meeting or exceeding production goals. Responsible for generating sales, housekeeping, merchandising, signage, accurate cash register operations and loss prevention in adherence to Goodwill-West Texas standards. Ensures an excellent customer experience throughout the donation door, sales floor and cash wrap. Responsible for maintaining secure operations in opening and closing the stores. Maintain a safe and clean worksite and promote guidelines and processes. Works with Manager in supervising and providing training opportunities to employees.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong><u>EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:</u></strong></p><ul><li>6 months Goodwill or supervisory experience required</li><li>High School/GED preferred</li></ul><p><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS / SPECIFIC SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ability to supervise and motivate employees.</li><li>Ability to handle the needs of barrier/disabled employees in a sensitive and effective manner.</li><li>Ability to communicate appropriately with coworkers and donors</li><li>Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform their duties</li><li>Ability to accurately operate and balance POS and tagger system</li><li>Ability to handle goods throughout the DSU</li><li>Ability to stand and walk for long periods</li><li>Ability to stoop and bend</li><li>Willing to perform tasks necessary to ensure continuous operations</li><li>Ability to work varied hours and days as business dictates</li><li>Valid Texas driver&rsquo;s license required</li></ul><p><strong><u>RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; DUTIES:</u></strong></p><p>(E &ndash; Essential function of job duties)</p><ul><li>Adhere to and promote Goodwill&rsquo;s performance standards and Core Values. Greet, acknowledge, and express genuine concern for customers and their needs. (E)</li><li>Lead team in offering an excellent customer experience at the donation door, cash wrap and throughout the store. (E)</li><li>Ensure donations are accepted graciously, every customer is thanked and a receipt is offered to each donor. (E)</li><li>Must be able to perform all aspects of the donation process to ensure smooth flow of quality donations (E)</li><li>Merchandise and display items to maintain floor design and store housekeeping (E)</li><li>Accurately &amp; efficiently complete all sales transactions including discounts, tax exemptions, voids, cash donations, etc. Monitor &amp; train staff to do the same (E)</li><li>Must be able to navigate and troubleshoot databases such as POS, tagging system, etc (E)</li><li>Understand Goodwill Mission programs and follows the &ldquo;round up&rdquo; scripting to support the Mission. Ensure employees are trained and held accountable for &ldquo;round up&rdquo; process (E)</li><li>Responsible for consistently monitoring process flow (donated/new goods) and making process improvements as necessary. (E)</li><li>Display solid product knowledge &amp; value of donated goods. (E)</li><li>Lead team in conducting regular safety checks (E)</li><li>Maintain security protocol regarding passwords, money handling and safeguarding the facility (E)</li><li>Responsible for accurately maintaining records and goals. (E)</li><li>Assist with floor moves. Maintain and improve upon merchandising, display maintenance &amp; store housekeeping. (E)</li><li>Monitor stock &amp; process/replenish merchandise as needed. (E)</li><li>Adhere to &amp; enforce all company policies, procedures &amp; practices including signage, pricing &amp; loss prevention. (E)</li><li>Make appropriate decisions in a variety of situations including but not limited to altercations, medical emergencies, theft, power failure, inclement weather, etc. (E)</li><li>Communicate appropriately &amp; positively with co-workers &amp; others. (E)</li><li>Coach and educate new staff, as well as provide ongoing training.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor and report staff productivity, scheduling, and other issues to Manager.
