With a focus on client requirements, we offer BIM capabilities, design-build services, sustainable solutions, commercial HVAC systems, and complex mechanical and industrial system installations.</p>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p>University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors, Inc. is currently seeking an individual for a full-time position as a Mechanical Senior Project Manager located in the San Diego area.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#umecca</p>\n<p>#LI-LG2</p>\n<p>#LI-Onsite</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proven project management skills with a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a project manager with full mechanical contracting or related construction firms.</li>\n <li>Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial related projects.</li>\n <li>Minimum 5 years of preconstruction/design-assist experience.</li>\n <li>Proven experience in management of healthcare, data center, lab, higher education and semi-conductor projects. Contract value range of $15M-200M.</li>\n <li>Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Chemical Engineering preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience working with job sites in healthcare is preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Computer Skills</strong></p>\n<p>Able to effectively operate the following computer software programs</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, Viewpoint</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Note: This is not intended to be neither a detailed nor comprehensive description on any individual employee’s job content.  Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee.</p>\n<p>Duties include safety of UMEC field personnel assigned to their projects, preconstruction, design- assist, field labor productivity, quality assurance and coordination, project financial outcome, projections and reporting, material and equipment procurement, change order management, owner/client relations, project cash flow, and personnel management. </p>\n<p>Managers are responsible for directing and overseeing the work activities of their direct reports.
