The mission of MDHA is to create quality affordable housing opportunities, support neighborhoods, strengthen communities, and help build a greater Nashville.&nbsp;</p><p>MDHA employs over 300 staff members, has a budget of $200 million, and houses approximately 30,000 people, primarily through nearly 8,000 Section 8 Vouchers and over 6,800 apartments, which are mainly Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) units, at 39 properties. MDHA is a housing authority, a community development agency, and a redevelopment agency.</p><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><span style=\"color: rgb(209, 72, 65);\">Position Summary</span></strong></p><p>The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing maintenance operations at assigned properties, and ensuring all buildings and grounds meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong><span style=\"color: rgb(209, 72, 65);\">Key Duties and Responsibilities</span></strong></p><ul data-pasted=\"true\"><li>Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance systems across multiple properties.</li><li>Manage and document preventive maintenance schedules and work orders using Yardi.</li><li>Ensure timely responses to work orders, tenant emergencies, and make-ready assignments for vacant units.</li><li>Complete and close out all work orders.</li><li>Respond to and work the after-hours work scheduled when assigned.</li><li>Complete regular inspections and assist in preparation for HUD Inspire inspections.</li><li>Maintain a professional appearance, demonstrate professionalism with residents, peers, and other staff members, and provide excellent customer service.</li></ul><p>&bull; Other duties as assigned</p><p><strong>Other Job Requirements</strong></p><p>After-hours work hours required</p><p>Timely &amp; Regular work attendance required</p><p><br></p><p><strong><span style=\"color: rgb(209, 72, 65);\">Knowledge , Skills and Abilities Required</span></strong></p><ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\" data-pasted=\"true\"><li><strong>Interpersonal Skills</strong></li></ol><p>Interact professionally while maintaining effective working relationships with MDHA Leadership, coworkers, company representatives, residents, and government officials; develop and maintain effective working relationships with residents and members of the public. Experience with Yardi is highly desirable.
