The Mechanical Engineer </span><span>or EIT </span><span>will work with engineering and management to support the mechanical development</span><span>, </span><span>installation</span><span>, and operation</span><span> of chemical process plant designs</span><span>, and contribute to engineering studies for future, large-scale, projects</span><span>. </span><span>A key </span><span>responsibility</span><span> </span><span>of</span><span> the role will </span><span>include assisting with the </span><span>build</span><span>-out</span><span> of our </span></span><span><span>first-of-its-kind commercial plant. </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>The broad scope of this role encompasses </span><span>the design</span><span> and </span><span>layout</span><span> of various aspects of new </span><span>chemical process plant</span><span> infrastructure</span><span>. </span><span>You will</span><span> conceptual</span><span>ize</span><span> </span><span>and implement </span><span>plant designs based on input from the process</span><span>, electrical, and management</span><span> team</span><span>s</span><span>, </span><span>support the team </span><span>in</span><span> reviewing documentation </span><span>from our EPC</span><span>s</span><span>, participate in </span><span>brainstorming and review meetings,</span><span> </span><span>liaise</span><span> with </span><span>stakeholders</span><span> to further refine plant characteristics</span><span>, and help develop and manage documentation for the Projects and Engineering style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span><span><br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Work with EPCs</span><span>, </span><span>partners</span><span>, and internal team</span><span> to develop</span><span> and implement</span><span> plant mechanical design</span><span> for our first commercial plant.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Assist</span><span> in </span><span>guiding, reviewing, and </span><span>managing</span><span> </span><span>building improvements </span><span>required </span><span>prior to</span><span> </span><span>equipment installation.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Liaise with </span><span>operation</span><span> and </span><span>contractor</span><span>s</span><span> to support/troubleshoot </span><span>issues</span><span> from conception through to commissioning.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Prepare specifications </span><span>required</span><span> for third party fabrication, liaise with vendors</span><span>, </span><span>contractors</span><span>, and internal stakeholders</span><span> to ensure successful and </span><span>timely</span><span> completion of work. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Maintain project records and</span><span> provide</span><span> comprehensive</span><span> project</span><span> updates. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications and experience  </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering</span><span> or </span><span>a related</span><span> fiel</span><span>d.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>1</span><span>-</span><span>5</span><span> years</span><span> of</span><span> industrial experience and strong interest </span><span>to work</span><span> in R&amp;D and product development environment. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Strong co-op experience within </span><span>rele</span><span>vant </span><span>field</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Experience with </span><span>drafting and modifying </span><span>2D AutoCAD </span><span>files </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Familiarity with </span><span>use</span><span> of </span><span>3D plant </span><span>modelling software.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Excellent critical thinking, analysis, and creative problem-solving.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Familiarity with industrial instrumentation is desir</span><span>ed</span><span>. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Be</span><span> a</span><span> </span><span>registered professional</span><span> </span><span>with </span><span>Engineers and </span><span>Geoscientists</span><span> </span><span>BC</span><span> (EIT or
