Processes release of information requests and coordinates timely responses to requests for patient information, as required by law. Applies substantial knowledge of the job and experience to complete a wide range of activities with varying difficulty. Works with sensitive and confidential information on a regular basis, often involving the interpretation of policies and procedures to guide use. Trains and reviews lower level staff work.</p>\n<p>Job Requirements:</p>\n<div>\n <p>Education and Work Experience:</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required</li>\n  <li>Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred</li>\n  <li>Five years' Health Information Management/Healthcare experience: Preferred</li>\n  <li>Knowledge of Release of Information regulatory requirements: Required</li>\n  <li>Electronic Health Record and Datavant/Ciox HealthSource experience: Preferred</li>\n </ul>\n</div>\n<div>\n <p>Licenses/Certifications:</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>AHIMA Release of Information Microcredential: Preferred</li>\n </ul>\n</div>\n<div>\n <p>Essential Functions:</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Validates and processes requests for release of information in accordance with hospital policies and state and federal regulations.</li>\n  <li>Meets minimum required productivity standards on a consistent basis.
