Of these students, 82.3% qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, 20.1% are served by the Office of Special&nbsp;Education, and 83% are students of color.&nbsp;</span></p><p><br><span><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION:</strong></span><br><br><span style=\"color: rgb(36, 36, 36);\">The Syracuse City School District is seeking a forward-thinking and experienced instructional leader to serve as the Director of Mathematics, PreK–12. This critical leadership role supports the district’s vision for equitable, high-quality mathematics instruction across all schools.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(36, 36, 36);\">Under the direction of the Supervising Director of Mathematics, the Director will support the implementation of strategic initiatives to ensure student learning and growth for all students. The Director will collaborate with district leadership, school leaders, and instructional staff to strengthen mathematics instruction, support the implementation of curriculum, and build educator capacity.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(36, 36, 36);\">The Director will assist in developing and implementing strategic plans, facilitating professional learning, and using data-informed approaches to monitor and improve student performance. Additionally, the Director will promote collaboration, support the sharing of best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of a rigorous, culturally responsive, and standards-aligned mathematics program.
