With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced Facilities Technician with a strong focus on HVAC systems to support daily operations and maintenance of our San Carlos site, as well as provide support at additional company locations as needed. This is a hands-on role for a skilled professional who can independently troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC and building systems in a fast-paced environment.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, VAVs, AHUs, exhaust systems, chillers, boilers, and split systems</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues</li>\n <li>Monitor building systems to ensure efficiency, safety, and occupant comfort</li>\n <li>Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely manner</li>\n <li>Perform general facilities maintenance (lighting, doors, ceilings, minor carpentry and plumbing)</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate records in the CMMS, including work orders and preventive maintenance logs</li>\n <li>Coordinate and oversee vendors and contractors</li>\n <li>Support inspections, audits, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements</li>\n <li>Travel to other company sites as needed to provide facilities and HVAC support</li>\n <li>Participate in an on-call rotation as required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>4-6 years of experience as a Building Engineer, Facilities Engineer, or HVAC Technician</li>\n <li>Strong hands-on experience with commercial HVAC systems</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for travel between sites)</li>\n <li>Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems</li>\n <li>Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation</li>\n <li>Experience using CMMS systems</li>\n <li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders, rooftops, and in confined spaces</li>\n <li>Flexibility to adjust schedule as needed, including occasional weekends</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Desired</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>EPA Universal Certification</li>\n <li>HVAC trade school or technical certification</li>\n <li>Experience supporting commercial office, lab, or industrial facilities</li>\n <li>Familiarity with BAS/BMS systems (Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, etc.)</li>\n <li>Additional HVAC or energy management certifications</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>\n<p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $37.00-$44.10/hr.
