Click <a href=\"http://thecommons.dpsk12.org/site/default.aspx?pageid=2859\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">here</a><i> </i>for more information on compensation for these roles.&nbsp;</li><li>In addition to competitive compensation, DPS has other Total Reward offerings such as; <a href=\"http://thecommons.dpsk12.org/Page/1129\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">time off</a>, <a href=\"http://thecommons.dpsk12.org/Page/1397\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">health and wellness benefits</a>, and <a href=\"http://thecommons.dpsk12.org/retire\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">PERA Retirement</a>.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></div><ul><li><div>L1 (Apprentice)&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</div><ul><li><div>Under the direction L2 or L3 technicians: Assists with and or performs all functions of the L2 (Journeyman) and L3 (Master or Multi-Skilled) level position.</div></li><li><div>Performs annual District-wide playground equipment safety inspection to monitor compliance with Colorado School Districts Self Insurance Pool requirements, and&nbsp;</div><div>U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) Playground Standards.</div></li><li><div>Installs different types playground, play and athletic equipment in accordance with the CPSC guidelines and related athletic sport rules of play.</div></li><li><div>Installs, repairs, and maintains playgrounds, play areas and courts, support equipment</div></li><li><div>Performs minor welding repair and maintenance.</div></li><li><div>Communicates and coordinates with staff at work site and with other shop staff.</div></li><li><div>Diagnoses repairs; modifies and performs repairs using blueprints; and considering playground safety codes.</div></li><li><div>Prepares and cleans up job site, taking into consideration safety concerns of self and others, and disposes of waste and flammable materials.</div></li><li><div>Reviews work orders, prioritizes, and determine supplies for repair and purchases supplies using District purchase order system.</div></li><li><div>Performs work and cross trains in at least one other trade as an apprentice.</div></li><li><div>Assists with snow removal efforts on a 24 hour on-call basis.</div></li><li><div>Responds to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.</div></li></ul></li></ul><div><br>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>What You’ll Need:</strong></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li><span>Must have and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License and meet District insurability standards. Must have the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Must hold/obtain and maintain a certification as a Certified Playground inspector from the National Playground Safety Association (NPSA).
