Description

Overview Family owned and operated for over 75 years, Pictsweet is a frozen vegetable producer with agricultural roots. We are recruiting Quality Assurance Technicians at Pictsweet's Clarksville, AR facility. The Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for established raw material, packaging in-process, microbiological and finished product testing audits during an assigned shift. This role will coordinate with other staff and supervisors to ensure production meets budget, scheduling, and quality standards. This is a safety sensitive position. This role ensures all safety systems are in place for the production of quality food products manufactured under clean and safe conditions. Responsibilities Ensure and monitor all quality and food safety systems are in place for the production of quality products manufactured under clean and safe conditions. Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulations relating to food and personnel safety such as FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, HARPC, DOT, GMPs, Housekeeping, Allergen Segregation, etc. Conducts established raw material, packaging, in-process, microbiological and finished product testing/audits. Performs sanitation, GMP, Pre-operational inspections/audits. Know and observe safety, security, quality, sanitation and personal hygiene requirements and lead by example on the processing floor. Sensory evaluations of samples at all levels of production. Perform Critical Control Point monitoring functions. Assist during certification audits. Assist QA Senior Management. Follows all Company policies and procedures and ensures a safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Experience a plus, but not required. Must be able to maintain a high level of alertness and concentration while performing safety-sensitive task. Available to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Effective oral and written communication skills. Bilingual skills helpful but not required. Basic mathematical computations including fractions/decimals. Read and comprehend process, procedures, instructions, and standards. Functional knowledge to apply corrective actions, quality and food safety procedures correctly in times of failure. Perform duties with a high level of accuracy and detail. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence, motivate, and lead within a team environment. Must be able to endure prolonged periods of standing, bending, pulling, walking on hard surfaces, reaching, and lifting. Requires repetitive motion with arms and hands. Must have ability to work in outdoor weather conditions, non-climate controlled areas, and/or a refrigerated packaging environment.
