We design, develop, test, and maintain products that run on our IaaS platform.</p>\n<p><strong>Shape the future of Akamai's Connected Cloud using Kubernetes</strong></p>\n<p>We are looking for a Senior Architect with expertise in Kubernetes and Cloud Native technologies to lead the architecture and design our Cloud Services, new Managed Services product offerings, and the platform these products run on. In this role, you will be working with other architects and engineering development teams.</p>\n<p>As an Architect Senior, you will be responsible for:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Owning the system design and implementation, guiding engineering with pragmatic solutions, and unblocking technical barriers to projects</li>\n <li>Building proof of concepts to help make design choices and recommend technologies</li>\n <li>Working with product managers and product architects to help inform the product direction</li>\n <li>Helping shape the engineering roadmap with stakeholders from product and engineering management and business stakeholders</li>\n <li>Developing best practices, sharing knowledge, and mentoring</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Do what you love</strong></p>\n<p>To be successful in this role you will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrate experience designing and building highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable production services using Kubernetes and Cloud-Native technologies</li>\n <li>Have advanced knowledge of Kubernetes concepts such as Operator/Controller patterns, Cluster API, and multi-cluster</li>\n <li>Have experience and solid foundational understanding of linux, networking, containers and the technologies that revolve around them</li>\n <li>Demonstrate significant experience with implementing code with Go, C++ or Python</li>\n <li>Develop projects with technologies such as opentelemetry, CSI, CNI, CI/CD tooling, Load Balancing, Service Mesh frameworks</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work in a way that works for you</strong></p>\n<p>FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
