Overview
Overnight Behavioral Health Associate
Hourly Pay: $18.00 - $24.00
Part-Time, On-site position: Alexandria, Virginia
Schedule: 8pm - 6am
Are you empathetic, patient, and committed to empowering adolescents on their journey towards sustainable mental wellness? Embark at Alexandria is seeking an Overnight Behavioral Health Associate to mentor adolescents (ages 12 - 17) in a residential treatment program . As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team , you will help create a structured, supportive environment where adolescents can heal and develop essential life skills. This role can be physical in nature, so we encourage candidates who feel comfortable with these demands to apply.
Our home-like residential program fosters healing for both clients and staff, offering an opportunity to make a lasting impact while growing personally and professionally.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine bed checks to ensure client safety and compliance
Monitor clients in assigned rooms and respond to concerns
Support clients who are ill, distressed, or unable to sleep
Maintain a safe, calm, and structured overnight environment
Document bed checks, observations, and incidents accurately
Perform light cleaning and laundry duties
Follow crisis protocols and report incidents as needed
Communicate overnight updates to incoming staff
Follow all safety, confidentiality, and program policies
Qualifications
21+ years of age or older
High school diploma or GED
Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
Able to pass criminal investigation background check
Current driver's license in good standing
Ability to perform CPR and First-Aid.
Ability to safely hold or restrain an upset or combative client
Skill in de-escalating agitated clients
Preferred - One year of experience in a residential setting using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities
Ability to plan, implement, and adjust to plans accordingly
