Join our highly motivated team and take pride in your work as we create a better future together.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>This position, located in Tysons, VA, will ensure uptime of critical systems, uphold a friendly safe work environment for the client and maintain all building systems, fire life safety equipment, HVAC equipment, electrical systems, office space and any other client property. Candidate must have the ability to respond to emergency calls.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The base hourly rate is aligned with market data and is estimated between $44.00 to $49.00 an (hour) with the ability to achieve additional compensation through bonus.  This salary range reflects base compensation for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors including relevant education/training, experience, and internal equity.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>To provide maintenance and repairs and replacements on a wide variety of commercial heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards, providing the customer with a high-quality experience including but not limited to Chillers, Boilers, Cooling Towers, VAVs, AHU’s, RTU’s, VRV-VRF systems, Water-Source, Self-Contained & Split Systems, Pumps, plate heat exchangers, CRAC Units, Humidifiers, Gas Furnace, and associated equipment.</li>\n <li>Practice excellent safety procedures and holds fellow associates accountable for the same.</li>\n <li>Plans, manages, and schedules time effectively, working with assigned manager.</li>\n <li>Professionally and effectively completes each service job, PM inspection, or day's work.</li>\n <li>Works effectively within a team environment and demonstrates a willingness to collaborate, communicate openly, and consider differing perspectives.</li>\n <li>Reports status to customer and communicates job and contract progress to customers and managers using company provided phone and software.</li>\n <li>Perform routine preventative maintenance.</li>\n <li>Availability for On-Call rotation that may require overtime or weekend work.</li>\n <li>Responsible for repair and maintenance of building related mechanical, electrical, plumbing, air handling units, and other building mechanical systems while on call.</li>\n <li>Ability to lift heavy tools and materials up to 75 pounds, work safely from ladders or lifts, and work in tight equipment cabinets.</li>\n <li>Assist with obtaining proposals and coordinating work performed by outside contractors.</li>\n <li>Maintain van inventory, update maintenance, and service records and communicate that effectively with the manager</li>\n <li>Purchasing of necessary supplies and equipment, which may include the loading and unloading of these materials.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>HVAC Master License - preferred</li>\n <li>5+ years of service experience, Journeyman or Master license preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience working with complex HVAC systems and equipment including chillers, boilers, circulating pumps, AHU’s, RTU’s, FCU’s, Package Units, VAV systems (direct digital, pneumatic and automated control systems), Humidifiers, and Cooling Towers.</li>\n <li>Communicate effectively in English (written and verbal).</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a background and drug test.</li>\n <li>Clean driving record and safely operate a motor vehicle.</li>\n <li>Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.</li>\n <li>Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls, and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.</li>\n <li>Physically capable to lift heavy materials and tools, climb ladders and can withstand harsh weather conditions.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with local and national HVAC codes and regulations.</li>\n <li>EPA Universal 608 certification required.<p> </p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2><i>Our Equal Opportunity Commitment</i></h2>\n<p><strong>Our Equal Opportunity Commitment</strong></p>\n<p>Avison Young is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity within our workforce.
