Description Community Housing Partners is seeking candidates for a highly motivated Resident Services Specialist - Solar Savings (SSS). Ideal candidates must have a strong work ethic and dedication to serving underserved populations through assisting in the coordination, implementation, and management of CHP’s Solar Savings program. As a Resident Services Specialist - Solar Savings , you will enjoy: Competitive Pay: Starting at $23 per hour with incremental performance-based bonus potential, based on experience and education. Day Schedule: Flexible scheduling available - Monday through Friday - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm OR Monday through Thursday – 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, with occasional overnight travel. Hybrid: This is a hybrid position available in Virginia, with preference to applicants located in Williamsburg, Yorktown, Richmond, or the surrounding areas. You will work from your home office 50% and travel to our locations in the area 50%. Great benefits that start after 30 days or less: Medical, Dental, and Vision start on the 1st of the month after your hire date, 403B retirement plan up to 5%. The company contributes 3% regardless of an employee’s contribution. Additionally, the company matches 2% of the amount an employee contributes. Paid maternity and paternity leave after 90 days. Desired Qualifications: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. At least one year of experience in one of three fields: project management/program coordination, property management leasing, or human services. Experience in managing or selling solar or other utilities is a plus. High proficiency in including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs; Smartsheet or Yardi Voyager experience is a plus. A Day in the Life of: A typical day for a Resident Services Specialist - Solar Savings blends community engagement, program coordination, and data management. The day may begin by reviewing enrollment progress, responding to resident inquiries, and updating program data or reports. Much of the role is spent connecting directly with residents—hosting outreach events, visiting CHP properties, or canvassing to educate households about the Solar Savings program and help them sign up for shared solar utility savings. Throughout the day, the specialist collaborates with on-site staff, the Resident Services team, and partners such as Dimension Energy to coordinate activities, track participation, and communicate program updates. Time is also dedicated to scheduling future outreach efforts, monitoring enrollment goals, and ensuring program documentation and budget requirements stay on track. Because the position is hybrid and travel-focused, many days include time on the road visiting properties and building relationships with residents to expand access to clean energy savings. What We're Looking For: The Resident Services Specialist - Solar Savings works closely with residents to build relationships and increase participation in the program by educating households about the benefits of shared solar and facilitating enrollments. This work includes coordinating outreach activities at CHP properties, managing program data and budgets, scheduling on-site engagement, and communicating program updates with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires a collaborative and service-oriented approach, working closely with Resident Services colleagues, CHP staff, supervisors, and leadership to ensure program success while supporting the broader mission of CHP and the Resident Services department.
