    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Please Note:</em> </span> Our competitive internship is now associated with an $2,400 scholarship (paid directly to your university, at $600 per quarter) to help offset the costs of taking on an unpaid internship.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Twin Lakes Counseling is an insurance-based group psychotherapy practice in Federal Way, Washington. </span>We are dedicated to making transformative mental health counseling and family therapy accessible to our community. We are looking for clinical mental health counselors or marriage and family therapists currently enrolled in COAMFTE- or CACREP-accredited masters programs for our competitive internship program. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Candidates must be independent, driven, collaborative, and able to enhance our fun, connected, and positive-minded team of therapists. <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Evening and weekend availability to see clients is required, and incoming clinicians must be able to offer in-person sessions at our beautiful Federal Way office at least one day per week.</span> Minority and bi-lingual candidates encouraged to apply.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">We provide:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent weekly supervision that meets program requirements</li>\n<li>A group practice environment that requires independence but provides support</li>\n<li>A variety of clinical experience, including individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and families</li>\n<li>A diverse caseload including clients from many ethnicities, religions, backgrounds, and gender identities<br></li>\n<li>Access to our in-house psychiatric nurse practitioner (ARNP) for referrals and consultation</li>\n<li>Full office support including in-house billing, intake scheduling, and insurance specialists</li>\n<li>Weekly group case consultation<br></li>\n<li>$2,400 in scholarship funds paid directly to your university, at $600 each quarter</li>\n<li>Comfortable office space</li>\n<li>Strong potential for employment after graduation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position requirements are:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Evening and weekend availability required</li>\n<li>Willing to schedule at least 10 clients per week</li>\n<li>Ability to see clients at least one day a week in-person and on-site from our beautiful Federal Way office.</li>\n<li>No other internship placements, except with prior approval by the director<br></li>\n<li>Comfort with or interest in working with children, couples, and families</li>\n<li>Prior experience in crisis counseling, domestic violence advocacy, or other service areas a plus<br></li>\n<li>Ability to offer bilingual therapy services is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required education:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed Bachelors degree, preferably in a psychology-related field<br></li>\n<li>Currently enrolled in a CACREP- or COAMFTE-accredited Masters program</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Please Note: </span></em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">To enhance equitable hiring practices, all qualified candidates will be sent a series of assessments by our partner, CriteriaSelect, to determine initial fit and aptitude for the position. </span><br><br>These assessments are important to our process and may take between 45 - 60 minutes.
