This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing various acute and chronic medical conditions. It requires a commitment to addressing the unique healthcare needs and challenges of rural communities.<br><br>Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit, 127-bed community hospital and regional referral center. Claxton-Hepburn includes 67 acute-care beds, a 10-bed intensive care unit, a 10-bed birthing center, a 28-bed acute adult mental health unit, and a 12-bed children &amp; adolescent behavioral health unit. The medical center provides primary care to nearly 40,000 residents of Ogdensburg and surrounding communities and regional services to the 108,000 people of St. Lawrence County.<br><br>Delphi Healthcare offers:<br><br><strong>W2 or 1099</strong><br><strong>Flexible Schedule</strong><br><strong>Malpractice</strong><br><strong>$25,000 FEA</strong><br><strong>12 hour shift</strong><br><strong>Day or evening shift</strong><br><strong>7a-7p or 7p-7a</strong><br><strong>$1,800-$2,100/per shift</strong><br><br><br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><strong>Hospital Rounds:</strong>&#160;Conduct regular hospital rounds to assess patient progress, make necessary treatment adjustments, and communicate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare team members.<br><br><strong>Emergency Care:</strong>&#160;Respond promptly to medical emergencies within the hospital, including admissions through the emergency department and critical care situations.<br><br><strong>Collaboration:</strong>&#160;Collaborate closely with the healthcare team, including nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and specialists, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.<br><br><strong>Consultations:</strong>&#160;Provide consultations to other physicians when specialized expertise is needed for complex or challenging cases.<br><br><strong>Patient Education:</strong>&#160;Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions, available treatment options, and post-discharge care plans.<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><strong>Medical Degree:</strong>&#160;Hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.<br><br><strong>Licensure:</strong>&#160;Possess a valid New York state medical license and be board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or another relevant specialty.<br><br><strong>Hospital Privileges:</strong>&#160;Obtain and maintain admitting privileges at the rural hospital or healthcare facility where you practice.<br><br><strong>Clinical Skills:</strong>&#160;Demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, with a strong foundation in internal medicine or family medicine.<br><br>&#8203;.
