We collaborate closely with architects, developers, and other design professionals to deliver innovative,&#xa0;sustainable,&#xa0;resilient, and efficient structures that support the evolving needs of the built environment.&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;</p><p>Located in downtown Seattle, our office is seeking&#xa0;an experienced Structural Engineer with between 4-7 years of&#xa0;professional&#xa0;experience.&#xa0;This role offers the opportunity to apply and expand your technical&#xa0;expertise&#xa0;and&#xa0;client skills&#xa0;on a wide range of&#xa0;impactful projects across the Pacific Northwest.&#xa0;You’ll&#xa0;work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to diverse building&#xa0;projects&#xa0;and materials, and continue developing your consulting skill set.&#xa0;as well as:&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Independently&#xa0;perform structural analysis and design&#xa0;for scopes of work such as&#xa0;gravity framing, lateral systems, foundation systems, and other scopes of work using industry-standard software.&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Develop 3D BIM models and construction documents, coordinating with project drafters, creating unique structural details, and engaging in multidisciplinary BIM collaboration.&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Delegate and oversee tasks for structural designers, ensuring clarity of scope and technical direction.&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Partner with project managers to plan and execute project work efficiently.&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Work with the project manager to lead&#xa0;the construction administration process, including site observations, review of construction submittals, and responding to contractor questions.&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Interpret and apply building and material codes&#xa0;such as IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 818, NDS etc.&#xa0;while aligning with KPFF and client standards and practices.&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Engage in client meetings, track coordination items, and&#xa0;maintain&#xa0;strong communication&#xa0;with multidisciplinary partners.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Participate in KPFF’s Forefront program, supporting mentorship, continuous learning, and professional development.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Contribute to a collaborative team culture that values creativity, curiosity, inclusion, and technical excellence.&#xa0;</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p><ul><li>Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.</li><li>Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.</li><li>Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.</li><li>Traveling to project sites or client meetings, which may involve driving or flying.</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p><p>The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills.
