We&rsquo;re looking for a motivated Software Developer Intern with a passion in backend services to join our Business Development team and help build modern AI solutions. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to real projects, learn from experienced engineers, and gain practical experience in the software development lifecycle. The Software Developer Internship is a paid full-time seasonal position starting in mid-May and ending in mid-August.</p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Required Education/Experience: </strong>Interested students should be currently enrolled in a college degree program. Candidates for the Internships must be entering their college Junior or Senior year. Candidate&rsquo;s course of study must pertain to the Internship position to which they are applying (B.S. in Computer Science).</p><p><strong>Desirable Skills and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and ability to integrate models into applications is a plus</li><li>Experience working with Jupyter notebooks or Colab is a plus</li><li>Experience with React or other front-end frameworks is a plus</li><li>Having knowledge in JS is a plus</li><li>Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Proficiency in Python</li><li>Experience with Linux Systems</li><li>Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web service integration</li><li>Familiarity with Node.js for building server-side applications</li><li>Understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB)</li><li>Experience with Git or other version control systems</li><li>Experience with Jira and GitHub</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills for working in cross-functional teams</li></ul><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Backend &amp; API Development: Assist in designing and implementing scalable Python services and APIs (FastAPI) to power application logic and ML integrations.</li><li>Infrastructure &amp; CI/CD: Support the deployment lifecycle by maintaining CI/CD pipelines and managing containerized environments (Docker) for smooth updates.</li><li>Full Stack Integration: Connect backend services to frontend interfaces, ensuring seamless data flow and efficient state management between the server and client.</li><li>Performance &amp; Reliability: Debug and optimize application performance across the stack.</li></ul><p><br></p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><em>Sterling Computers Corporation (&ldquo;Sterling&rdquo;) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
