As an Activity Instructor, you aren't just teaching a skill, you are facilitating growth and building community. This role is a perfect fit for those looking to build a resume in <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">group management, public speaking, curriculum implementation, and team leadership.</span> You will learn how to command a room, pivot on the fly, and mentor youth in a high-energy environment.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Activity Instructors are the subject matter experts of our camp. You bring the energy and expertise to our daily programming, ensuring every child is engaged, learning, and safe. You will work as part of a collaborative team to facilitate high-quality activities, build lasting relationships with campers, and ensure that our wide array of offerings are both fun and inclusive.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Activity Areas: Sports, Group Games, Music, Dance, Arts &amp; Crafts, Science </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Be a Mentor:</span> Act as a positive role model for campers and the counselor team.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Facilitate Excellence:</span> Lead and execute engaging, high-energy activities for groups of children throughout the summer with the camp provided curriculum.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Lead the Team:</span> Work alongside counselors, effectively utilizing their support to manage group dynamics during activities.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Event Production:</span> Assist with the planning and implementation of camp-wide special events and spirit days.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Support the Mission:</span> Get in the pool to assist with instructional swim as requested.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Bring the Energy:</span> Maintain a high-fun, high-impact atmosphere every day.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Age:</span> 18+ years of age.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience:</span> Previous experience in teaching or facilitating science activities is highly preferred.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Commitment:</span> Must be available for the full season (June 29 – August 21) and required staff orientation <span>June 19- 12:00-7:00 PM, June 21- 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, June 28- 8:30 AM-5:00 PM </span> (plus one virtual half-day TBD).</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Reliability:</span> Consistent Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM). Punctuality is essential for program success.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Compensation &amp; Contract Details:</span></p>\n<p>We value transparency regarding our seasonal employment structure. Camp staff are hired on a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">contractual basis</span> for the eight-week summer season. As a seasonal contractual role, compensation is structured as a fixed sum rather than an hourly wage.
