At VSH North County, you'll work alongside experts in  Neurology, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Surgery, Advanced Imaging, Blood Banking, Cardiology, and more , all while expanding your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Compensation: $22–$28 per hour based on experience and credentials Schedule: Monday - Friday 5 x 8's What You'll Do As a Laboratory Technician, you'll play a critical role in supporting patient care by ensuring accurate, timely diagnostic results. Your Responsibilities Include:  Preparing, calibrating, and troubleshooting laboratory analyzers  Processing and running in-house diagnostics including: CBCs Chemistry panels Coagulation testing Urinalysis Blood typing and crossmatching Cultures Cytology and fluid analysis Serology testing Fecal testing  Preparing specimens for shipment and managing send-out testing  Entering, reporting, and releasing laboratory results  Assisting with phone inquiries and add-on testing requests Preparing cultures for plating or shipping  Maintaining laboratory equipment, supplies, and biohazard compliance What We're Looking For Required Veterinary medicine experience Previous laboratory experience  Success in This Role Looks Like: Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills Effective time management and organization Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment Comfort working independently Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays Physical Requirements Standing and moving throughout a 10-hour shift Frequent computer work Working safely around laboratory chemicals and biohazard materials Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Professional Growth  Generous annual CE allowance  VetBloom access for RACE-approved continuing education  Partnership opportunities with the Purdue Veterinary Technology Program  Onsite mentorship and financial support toward VTS pursuits RVT license application and renewal reimbursement Benefits & Perks 75% Employee Pet Discount  Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance  401(k) with company matching  3 weeks accrued PTO  Annual uniform allowance  Employee Assistance Program  Wellness resources including access to the League wellness app  Opportunities for advancement and career development Join a Team Where Learning Never Stops At VSH North County, you'll be surrounded by specialists, advanced medicine, and a team that's passionate about helping each other succeed.
