For more information, visit&nbsp;<a href=\"http://www.metalsa.com\" target=\"_blank\">metalsa.com</a></p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> <strong>EHS</strong> <strong>Safety Co-op/Intern</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Mission:</strong> Provide process safety support in both machining and assembly processes</p>\n<p><strong>What would your typical day look like?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Validate current safety processes to ensure productivity, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, and document, communicate and conduct training on improvements</li>\n <li>Analyze best practices and develop safety processes to achieve plant objectives through problem solving</li>\n <li>Assist safety team in other various operations safety improvement or special projects</li>\n <li>Assist Team in training new hire or skilled trades</li>\n <li>Perform additional responsibilities as required; position is subject to change as the needs of the department change</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Safety &amp; Quality&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work in a safe manner and encourage others to do so</li>\n <li>Report all unsafe acts and conditions immediately</li>\n <li>Use our Innovation process and the team concept to improve safety in the plant</li>\n <li>Be proactively involved with improving working conditions</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Academic and Experience&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering or related field&nbsp;</li>\n <li>2 years of undergraduate studies working towards bachelor's degree</li>\n <li>Experience in automotive/manufacturing industry&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Knowledge of OSHA/Safety standards and practices</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Leadership Competencies&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>•Problem Solving • Customer Focus • Planning •Perseverance •Business Acumen •Drive for Results&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>",
