RDs are responsible for assessing, monitoring and educating patients and their families on the importance of diet and nutrition in managing chronic kidney disease.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Fulltime Monday through Friday, shifts start at 8am, weekends off</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Compensation:</strong> Pay range from $60,320-$64,900 annually, depending on renal experience; experience preferred</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Training, support and mentorship opportunities provided by clinic and corporate teams for individuals new to renal care</li>\n <li>Comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits</li>\n <li>Life and long-term disability insurance provided at no additional expense to employee</li>\n <li>Paid time off (PTO) including holidays</li>\n <li>Extended Sick Bank (ESB) in addition to PTO – paid time for doctor appointments, sickness or medical leave</li>\n <li>Retirement plans with $.50 of each contributed dollar matched for eligible employees, up to 8 percent</li>\n <li>Education financial support</li>\n <li>Employee assistance program</li>\n <li>Wellness program</li>\n <li>Among others</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>What You Can Expect:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist patients with making diet and nutrition choices that improve their quality of life</li>\n <li>Complete comprehensive nutrition assessment for all new and at-risk patients</li>\n <li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and patient to develop and implement individualized care plans based on nutritional assessment; review monthly and document progress toward established goals</li>\n <li>Identify specific interventions necessary to meet nutritional needs based on evidence-based guidelines, best practices and current research</li>\n <li>Educate patient and family/caregiver about renal diet and fluid management</li>\n <li>Monitor monthly laboratory results and weight changes, make recommendations to meet established goals</li>\n <li>Utilize a patient-centered care approach, respecting and responding to individual and cultural preferences while encouraging engagement</li>\n <li>Participate in Quality Assessment Performance Improvement process, documenting and attending meetings per clinic policy</li>\n <li>Compile and create nutrition materials to promote adherence to renal diet guidelines</li>\n <li>Communicate nutrition concerns with care team, including attending physicians</li>\n <li>Share kidney disease and nutrition advances with care team as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Successful Candidates Bring:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent communication skills</li>\n <li>Demonstrated clinical proficiency</li>\n <li>Desire to collaborate with care teams</li>\n <li>Ability to problem solve</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education/Training:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with Commission on Dietetic Registration</li>\n <li>Minimum one year professional work experience in clinical nutrition as a registered dietitian (after successful completion of registration exam) required</li>\n <li>Previous renal care experience preferred, not required</li>\n <li>Job shadow opportunities available</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>DCI’s Differentiator:</strong></p>\n<p>Since opening the first clinic 50 years ago in Nashville, Tenn., our Dialysis Clinic, Inc. family has grown to be the nation’s largest nonprofit dialysis provider with more than 270 locations in 30 states, serving nearly 14,000 patients each day.
