    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>What We&rsquo;re Searching fo</strong>r<strong>&nbsp;EveningShift 4pm - 2am, Monday - Thursday; overtime as needed on Friday.&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Qualified Sit-Down Forklift Operator/Material Handler to assist in coordinating the day-to-day activities in the shipping and receiving offices, including providing customer service to the truck drivers and the production floor. Strong organizational, teamwork, dependability, accountability, and self-starter skills will lead you to success in this role.</p><p><strong>How You Will Contribute:</strong></p><p>-Complete and document a sit-down forklift inspection form before the start of the shift and when operating a new forklift.</p><p>-Verify counts as materials leave or enter the warehouse/production area.</p><p>-Work with shipping and receiving on incoming and outgoing materials&nbsp;</p><p>-Ensure that all jobs are pulled and ready for the next&nbsp;shift&rsquo;s&nbsp;production run</p><p>-Must ensure that all materials being removed from a production line are accurately recorded on the correct form, and that all materials have been properly banded and/or wrapped to ensure that they will &ldquo;hold up&rdquo; in the warehouse.&nbsp;</p><p>-Performs periodic routine maintenance checks on the lifts.&nbsp;Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.</p><p>-Maneuvering forklifts safely in busy industrial environments&nbsp;</p><p>-Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets&nbsp;</p><p>-Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport&nbsp;</p><p>-Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas&nbsp;</p><p>-Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions.&nbsp;</p><p>- Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.&nbsp;</p><p>-Adhere to daily production schedule.</p><p>- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.&nbsp;</p><p>- Additional duties may be assigned by management.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>What it takes: &nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High school diploma or GED.&nbsp;</li><li>2+ years&rsquo; experience as forklift operator in production or distribution environment.</li><li>Able to read, write, communicate efficiently, and follow instructions on factory masters.&nbsp;</li><li>Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.</li><li>Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate.</li></ul><p><strong>Why You&rsquo;ll Love Working at Hood Container</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Competitive Pay &amp; Benefits:</strong>&nbsp;<br>👉 <a href=\"http://www.hoodcontainer.com/benefits\" target=\"_new\">www.hoodcontainer.com/benefits</a></li><li><strong>Career Growth:</strong> Ongoing training and advancement opportunities.</li><li><strong>Team-Oriented Culture:</strong> Your expertise is respected and valued.</li><li><strong>Stable, Growing Industry:</strong> Nationwide leader in corrugated packaging.</li></ul><p>Hood Container is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
