For over 80 years, TCC Family Health has been dedicated to eliminating barriers to care, to improve health and lower health systems cost by expanding cost-effective, meaningful and innovative health care programs that work and providing comprehensive healthcare in a culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate manner to medically underserved, low-income and high-risk populations in Long Beach and surrounding communities.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong> Supervises and provides dispensing activities in the dispensary under the direction of healthcare providers and Director of Nursing.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Dispensary Operations</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Performs dispensing duties according to Nursing Practice Act and regulations set forth by the Board of Pharmacy.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain continuous quality improvement for all dispensary activities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain all pharmaceutical inventory.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Supervision of dispensary staff.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Insulin teach and education for newly diagnosed diabetic patients.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Completes all paperwork for obtaining medicines through the Patient Assistance Program and orders refills as needed; also follows up with patients as to obtaining any income documentation needed for the program.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Follows up on an on-going basis with the pharmaceutical representative to obtain sample medications.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Fax in prescriptions to pharmacy as directed by clinician.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist in providing/dispensing pharmaceutical products and devices to patients under supervision of providers.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Regular monitoring and inventory medication supplies and order as needed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Inventory and packaging of expired medications to be sent for destruction.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Monitor and inventory medical supplies and order as needed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Receives and disburses satellite sites inventory in separate containers.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct clerical duties when dispensary clerk is not available.
