Ongoing training will be provided to support your professional development, alongside opportunities to apply your experience to effectively engage and motivate students.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">The Company</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">First Step Physical Education, part of the First Step Sports Group are specialists in the planning, organisation, delivery, and assessment of Primary School PE, delivering quality PE and sports offerings, to schools across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.<br></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>The Position</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">We are seeking a PE Coach to work 30 hours per week, with experience in sports coaching and the ability to deliver sessions to our standards across a range of settings.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The role requires a confident and adaptable individual who can engage young people, work independently, act as a positive role model, and deliver high‑quality sessions that develop participants’ skills.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">It is vital that applicants have prior experience working within a school environment.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Deliver PE lessons and a variety of sports to primary school aged pupils </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Be assertive and respected by pupils</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Provide an exciting learning experience</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Be versatile and committed to learning</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Be reliable and flexible</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Demonstrate professionalism to clients</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Travel to various locations and settings</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Knowledge and Experience Requirements </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold\">At least a NGB Level 2 Coaching Badge or equivalent</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Applicants must have a minimum of two years’ experience working in a sports sector or school environment delivering sports sessions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">A good knowledge of at least 3 areas of the curriculum is essential (Games, Dance, Gymnastics, Athletics, OAA)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Experience creating and following lesson plans</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Experience assessing pupil performance</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Knowledge and passion for a variety of sports</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Excellent organisation and time management skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Risk Assessment experience</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Experience working with a variety of ages</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">GCSE Maths and English.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">First Aid and Child Protection Training - Training can be provided</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Committed to continuous professional development</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Willingness to undergo training is essential</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold\">A driving License and your own transport are essential as you will be travelling to multiple locations</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">*Please note: While a BTEC Level 3 qualification is valuable, it does not meet the industry‑standard requirements for this position.
