Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>REAL ALLOY Mechanical Project Engineer</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As our new Mechanical Project Engineer, you will use your knowledge of project management to plan and implement key capital projects, drive technology improvements, and provide engineering solutions that deliver productivity and improve operations within the business unit.  This role is 60% Project Engineering/Project Management with 20% being plant support and 20% mechanical systems design.  Mechanical Project Engineers effectively communicate project expectations to team members, contractors and stakeholders and build effective partnerships with plant personnel through the implementation of capital projects. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our ideal Mechanical Project Engineer candidate will service their main location in Coldwater, Michigan and provide Mechanical Project Engineer support to other regional locations, with <strong>travel required of up to 30%</strong> for the role.  Regional support may include our Chicago Heights location as well as our Canadian facility in Mississauga, Ontario.  Ability to travel internationally is a plus.  <strong>Heavy Industrial or manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>REAL ALLOY offers competitive compensation with great benefits and a 401K match.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>This role is not sponsorship supported - candidates with a need for sponsorship will not be considered. </em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Mechanical Project Engineer-</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related engineering field is required.</li>\n <li>2+ years of related industrial experience, including planning, specification, and implementation of engineering design projects.  This is experience beyond school related projects.</li>\n <li>Strong technical and process management skills are required in this position, with ability to work multiple projects simultaneously.</li>\n <li>Must possess strong decision making and problem-solving skills including the ability to solve problems while exhibiting practical judgment and realistic understanding of the issues involved.</li>\n <li>Six Sigma/PMP certification is a plus.</li>\n <li>Preferred software:  Inventor, Auto CAD</li>\n <li>Knowledgeable in strutural design, federal regulations and standards.
